Seared Ribeye with Garlic, Butter, and Thyme




INGREDIENTS
1 3lb bone-in beef ribeye steak
salt and fresh ground pepper
3 tbsp butter
6 garlic cloves
5 thyme sprigs
DIRECTIONS
Season both sides with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Let rest for 10 minutes to take the chill off if it’s been in the fridge..
Sear in a hot cast iron frying pan 5-6 minutes on each side.
Add 3 tbsp butter, garlic, and thyme to the pan. Spoon melted butter, garlic, and thyme mixture over the steak, over and over it continues to cook for another 5 minutes for medium rare.
Let rest for 5 minutes. Slice and serve.
